I had a broken wire in the flex between the door and door jamb. It's a larger gauge wire brown or tan in color. Remove door panel, disengage wire harness in door jamb. Remove wiring harness from door with a T-20 torx. Slide flex sleeve up to find broken wire. Crip back together with a 22-18 gauge butt connector.
IE, if the test lamp illuminates in the up position on a given pin, then it should be ground in the down position. If it illuminates operating the switch both directions then the switch is bad. Basically the same holds true with the driver switch, but if there is a lockout switch it could also create similar effect.
